Last week we celebrated our first birthday! We’ve come a long way since we got married on London’s Southbank so let’s take a look back…
We kicked the year off with a bang with the Worth Foundation Fund, smashing every target thrown our way and holding an impressive event at The Hospital Club to find the best rising startups.
Any excuse for a party, our launch event went down an absolute storm and we ended up hiring our first full-time staff member on the very same night (it wasn’t just a drunken impulse, honest!). The next few weeks were a whirlwind of kung-fu films, countless features with Sarah Beeny’s Tepilo, and fun and frolics at co-working space, Huckletree.
Jealous of all the fun we were having, Helen’s other half and ex-Editor of Metro, Kenny, soon joined the team, just as we hit our craziest time of the year: winning 3 new clients in the space of only 3 days! Naked Wines were our big win and we’ve been kicking up a fuss in the often stuffy world of wine PR ever since, with a cracking partnership with Attitude Awards, the ultimate wine map of London and a nationwide survey uncovering some truly shocking stats.
As we continued to grow we welcomed our first Account Manager to the family. Kate hit the ground running as October saw us get stuck into events such as the prestigious Library Music Awards and a charity matchmaking night for Fcancer. Along with all the schmoozing and networking we also supported the launch of Chelsea Apps Factory’s innovative app, iCukoo, held a creative workshop with the team at Disney, and continued giving an extra PR boost to Thomas Cook. Not only have we uncovered the nation’s holiday secrets in the process of our work with them, but we also got to meet Santa. ACTUAL SANTA.
Rounding off the year, one of our favourite clients, PetrolPrices.com, appeared on The One Show, as petrol became the hot topic of the moment. We couldn’t be happier to be entering another year at Campbell Brown. We have the BEST clients, the BEST team and most importantly, the BEST time!
